Brambura Park: The Place Where the World Turns Upside Down
Brambura Park is one of the most popular and spectacular amusement parks in Romania, welcoming visitors at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains near Avrig. For travelers looking for a truly special summer activity where fun and unique photo memories are guaranteed, this destination makes a great addition to any itinerary.
Since opening in the summer of 2022, the park's main goal has been to create an ideal setting for relaxation, good cheer, and outdoor activities—providing the perfect spot to unplug. Currently spanning six hectares, the park is constantly expanding, with ambitious plans to add new experiences all the way through 2029. The name was not chosen by chance either: in Romanian, the word "brambura" means a playful mess or topsy-turvy disorder, which describes the atmosphere of the place perfectly.

The Upside-Down House
The main attraction of the park is the Upside-Down House, whose construction was a true engineering feat. Every single corner of this 200-square-meter building was designed to completely mess with your sense of space. Inside the fully furnished rooms—such as the bedroom with the bed mounted to the ceiling or the floating kitchen—visitors can experience step-by-step what it feels like when gravity loses its pull. Guests of all ages can freely express their creativity and capture the funniest moments in creative photos. For spectacular shots, we recommend posing in unusual ways—like pretending to fall from the ceiling—and then rotating your photos 180 degrees. The final result offers a surprising perspective that is guaranteed to amaze anyone who sees it.

Other Fun Activities
Beyond the fascinating upside-down house, Brambura Park offers plenty of other outdoor activities designed for fun and relaxation. The bumper cars area adds a burst of energy to your visit: playful collisions and friendly racing make this a guaranteed source of laughter for the whole family. And if you're looking for a slightly more peaceful ride, you can hop on the Brambura Express, a train that travels at a gentle pace through the green areas of the park, offering scenic views along the way.

Both outdoor and covered playgrounds ensure that little ones can play in a safe environment. The park's layout is also built with parents' comfort in mind: while kids play carefree, adults can relax on nearby benches or on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine and a good cup of coffee in total peace.
Food Zone
Taking a break to recharge is a pleasure on the spacious, covered Food & Chill terrace. Plenty of room and comfortable tables create the ideal atmosphere for families looking to rest, enjoy delicious snacks, and sip on refreshing drinks in the shade. Brambura Park is also an ideal venue for group events, welcoming birthday parties, school trips, team-building activities, and private events alike.
What to Visit Nearby
Thanks to its strategic location, the park serves as an excellent starting point for exploring several iconic Transylvanian destinations in a single weekend with family or friends.
Right next door in Avrig lies the famous Brukenthal Summer Residence, the only intact Baroque castle estate in Transylvania. For nature lovers and hikers, the Avrig Valley (Valea Avrigului) is a true paradise: opening a direct gateway to the wild trails of the Făgăraș Mountains, leading to high-altitude spots like Lake Avrig or surrounding peaks.
Furthermore, just a stone's throw away is the world-famous, winding Transfăgărășan mountain road, which, together with Lake Bâlea and Bâlea Waterfall, is an absolute must-stop on summer road trips by car or motorcycle. And if you're craving a bit of urban charm and culture, Sibiu’s Old Town—with its Large Square, Bridge of Lies, and picturesque cobbled streets—is just a short drive away. A fun-filled day at Brambura Park can easily be combined into an unforgettable weekend getaway.
