The Pancake Festival in Prejmer, Brașov County

 

The Pancake Festival, known as Fasching in the Saxon tradition, will take place at the beginning of April this year, although it used to be organized in February. The exact date of the 17th edition is April 6-7, 2024.

The event is special every year not only because it gives you the opportunity to taste wonderful desserts but also because it features a rich artistic program. This year, artists like Feli, Adda, and Compact - by Paul Ciuci, will take the stage, along with many others.

There will also be a mask parade, a pancake caravan, as well as demonstrations of kickboxing, fitness, zumba, and more.

The Sweet Delights Festival, Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna County

 

The 6th edition of the Sweet Delights Festival, also known as the Kürtőskalács Festival in Sfântu Gheorghe, will take place this year on October 4-6, in the Central Square of the city.

It's a festival where sweet aromas and flavors meet music and fun. Typically, the event also determines who makes the best Kürtőskalács in the Szekler Land, but there are also other activities in the program. In the past, records for the longest Kürtőskalács have been set here.

It's an event not to be missed, as other delicious treats are also available for sale.

The Jam Festival in Brebu, Prahova County

Another dessert with many fans is jam. So, if you're among them and looking for authentic recipes, know that in Brebu, Prahova County, there is an event that highlights fine and unique jams, syrups, as well as many other culinary delights, prepared according to original recipes and offered with hospitality and joy by the local housewives.

An official date for this year's event has not been announced yet, but last year's 13th edition took place on August 26 and 27. So, keep the summer months open for such a destination.

Statistics from previous years show that the event annually gathers over 10,000 visitors and consumes over 20,000 pancakes during the two days of the festival.

An official date for 2024 has not been announced yet, but traditionally, the festival takes place in July.
